India’s Maharashtra state has the planned city of Aurangabad CIDCO. The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), which began construction on the new city in the 1970s, was handed responsibility for it. As a result, the idea for the development of Aurangabad CIDCO as a modern city.
The project, formerly known as New Aurangabad, is CIDCO’s second-most successful endeavour after Navi Mumbai.
The Government of Maharashtra established and maintains control over the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO), the richest government organisation in India and a city development organization. In accordance with the Indian Companies Act of 1956, CIDCO was established on March 17, 1970, with the goal of creating a satellite town for Mumbai, Maharashtra. The first smart city initiative in India was also started by CIDCO.
