Qaisarbagh, often called Qaiserbagh, Kaisarbagh, or Kaiserbagh, is a complex in Lucknow, India’s Awadh district. Wajid Ali Shah (1847-1856), the last Nawab of Awadh, built it.

Even if you have nowhere to ride a bus, every Lucknowite should have a look at the Kaiser Bagh Bus Station. The bus terminal, a first in the state, can give the Amausi airport a run for its money! Every day, 15,000 commuters pass via the bus station. The buses are divided into 14 bays or terminals, each with its own gate. This bus stop has it everything, from solar panels to ATMs to a retail arcade. What people enjoy about it is as follows:

  1. The main hall of the bus station is air-conditioned, offering much-needed relief from the heat. There is also plenty of seating space available.
  2. Outside, there is separate parking for cars and two-wheelers. Underground parking is also available.
  3. The ancient whiteboard with bus timetables is no longer in use. The main hall contains LED television displays that show the bus timetables all the time. A fully automated PA system is also in place.
  4. Air-conditioned bus passengers have their own waiting space at the bus station.
